By placing an order with Friendinabox you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
We have elected to use PayPal in order to offer our customers a secure method of payment. You do not need to have an account with PayPal. One-off credit card payments can be made through PayPal. Your card details will not be stored by Friendinabox or PayPal.
We regret that we cannot accept cheques or payments by phone or by email.
Our prices are inclusive of VAT but do not include a delivery charge. We will send your box to anywhere in the world and have 3 different shipping rates: UK, Europe, Rest of World.
Friendinabox has been designed to go through the letterbox for immediate impact and minimal inconvenience to the recipient and therefore we have decided to use Royal Mail 1st Class.
We will endeavour to despatch all orders received before 12pm (UK time) the same day. In the vast majority of cases UK Royal Mail deliveries will arrive the next day but we cannot guarantee this.
Very occasionally things do get held up in the postal system. Please allow 3 days before you notify us that your box has not reached its destination. Pre-Christmas post takes longer and we ask for you to bear this in mind during this period.
We are unable to provide notifications for Royal Mail orders and do not obtain proof of delivery.
We will endeavour to send a box to anywhere in the world. There is a few exceptions to this where certain products are prohibited from entry into certain countries. Notification of this will be given on the relevant product page. Shipping times to various parts of the world are extremely varied. Deliveries in Europe normally take from 3 to 5 days. Other parts of the world may be closer to 2 weeks. We have chosen not to use international couriers who may offer a faster service because the costs involved are much higher.
We cannot deliver to PO boxes in the UK or overseas but we can deliver to BPFO addresses.
Changes to orders
If you need to make a change to your order, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. If we have not processed it we will do our very best to make any requested amendments.
Our satisfaction promise
It is our hope and aim that all recipients will be delighted with their box and its contents.
All products sent will be within their sell-by dates.
All products will be carefully packed and should arrive in the same condition as they were despatched in.
In the (hopefully) rare event that there is a problem, please notify us immediately so that we can arrange a free replacement or a refund.
Friendinabox cannot be held liable for late delivery due to extreme weather conditions or other forces outside our control such as Acts of God, terrorism or riots, act of any government, fire, explosions, power failure, failure of telecommunications lines, failure or breakdown of plant, machinery or vehicles, default of suppliers, theft, malicious damage or industrial action.
We attempt to ensure that the information provided on our website is accurate. We provide product information as provided to us by our suppliers.
We commit to make every best effort to make sure that our boxes are sent out on time and without error. We are unable to guarantee this and do not accept liability in the event of causes beyond our reasonable control.
